Suck it up, Buttercup.
Life isn't always fair, so accept that now
with grace. God doesn't promise by loving and abiding in Him that it's going to
be smooth sailing. We perform to the best of our ability at our earthly jobs
and our ordained purpose not due to what we'll get out of it but because of
what we've already been given- the free gift of eternal life (Romans 6:23).
Some days frankly just stink! We never know
what the day is going to bring and we can either face it in fear or in trust.
Proverbs 29:25 says, "The fear of man brings a snare, But he who trusts in
the LORD will be exalted."
When you find it difficult to do your job,
uphold a commitment, or just get through the day remember, "Whatever you
do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men," (Colossians 3:23).
You make it with strength from the Lord, not by your own strength, avoiding
your problems, or the "fake it till you make it" ideology.
I know this is easier said than done, but the
quicker you turn to joy versus stew in your troubles, the lighter you will
feel.
"…that through endurance and through the
encouragement of scriptures we might have hope. May the God of endurance and
encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another." -Romans
15:4b-5.
By changing a few items the outfit can turn from work attire to evening ready! Change your shoes, add some accessories, put that hair up in a messy bun and voila.
