Gray Matters

I do not claim to be a scientist nor did I have any knowledge of what gray matter actually was until I looked it up so please excuse my very elementary understanding of it. I found out that gray matter is very important to our bodies, particularly our central nervous system. It serves to process information in our brains like muscle control and sensory perception such as seeing and hearing, memory, emotions, speech, decision making, and self-control.

Gray matter sounds a lot like the Holy Spirit to me. When we become Christ-followers, we are filled with the Holy Spirit who serves as a guide to help us process. Being fully surrendered to God allows the Holy Spirit to be present in our lives and challenges us to make wise decisions that glorify our Father. Listening to the Holy Spirit changes the way we make decisions.  We become more aware of what we watch and listen to, how we spend our resources and how we treat others. Furthermore, the Spirit reminds us who we are in Christ and that we aren't defined by our past while also providing us with the fruit of the Spirit, which enables us to be loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, gentle and self-controlled. So as you can see, gray really does matter!

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. – John 14:26

Gray is one of my favorite colors to wear because it serves as a wonderful neutral and great substitute for black. I also love to mix my grays for a monochromatic look. Don't forget to shop my gray post at the bottom!
