Last week we posted some of our favorite day planners to help us stay organized in 2015. Have you found yours yet? I recently saw an Instagram picture floating around that says “You have one month to finish the book of 2014. Make the last chapter a perfect one.” It’s shocking to believe the year is nearly done. With Morgan by my side, I have to say this has been one of the best years to date. I truly feel like time is speeding up. It’s been a year of excitement, growth and expanding my boundaries. Over the past year my relationship with Christ has grown because of the new friendships I made, joining Watermark and taking their Equipped Disciple classes (graduated last night woohoo). Due to the girls in my community group, I’ve dug into my Bible and studied what it really means to look like a Christ follower. I won’t say it’s been easy. My options in dating have significantly decreased (like I had so many options before), and it’s harder to “fit in” with old friends and coworkers. I will say its been rewarding in so many ways. I’ve traveled halfway around the world and witnessed God interact in a culture completely different than mine. We launched Pair of Heirs which has turned out to be an amazing endeavor! 2014 was a year of maturing but I look forward to 2015 being a year of exponential growth and taking things to the next level.
I’m easily excited by a new project but due to fear or it not succeeding, I don’t go for it. I don’t jump in. I confess I have a fear of failing so I often times don’t take the risk. This past year I’ve learned so much about trusting in God but now I’d like to start implementing my beliefs into my actions. Satan loves to tell me I’m not good enough. It’s a lie I too often believe. The truth I remind myself is to God I’m worth it and I’m loved. My measure of success may be different than what God intends for me but I know by abiding in Christ (John 15:7) and working for the Lord His plans for me will come to fruition.
Follow God’s commands and He will give you success; do not be afraid. -1 Chronicles 22:13
Do not be afraid, for God goes with you to give you victory. - Deuteronomy 20:3-5
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. - Deuteronomy 31:6
What’s holding you back from jumping in?
